As a firm, we have worked for a range of clubs, businesses, and on several projects. A small selection of various assignments is listed below.
During my time with Inter Football, Adri van Eijden and I were responsible for Ajax’ commercial activities. We developed, among other things, the first Open Day and a much talked-about billboard campaign for the season ticket sales.
Jointly responsible for the instigating of the main sponsorship contract between Ajax and ABN AMRO. I developed, with Jan Willem Lokerman, the action plan for the first three years. I am proud that the bank is still actively involved with Ajax after 26 years.
Johan Cruijff Arena
First under the authority of the bank, later of Johan Cruijff Arena, I was responsible for the development of the commercial section of Johan Cruijff Arena’s prospectus. Later I was also responsible for the execution of this, in association with Jan Tilmans, Arena’s managing director. Once in a lifetime experience!
Top Volleybal Nederland
Responsible for the organisation behind the Tall Men and Women which resulted in gold in Atlanta. Subsequently, I reached commercial agreements with regard to broadcasting rights and sponsorship of clothing with NOS and Mizuna respectively. Unfortunately, due to lack of courage and financial strength, this was granted only a short life.
For over 15 years, I have been actively involved with The Netherland’s biggest school sport competition, under the authority of SportVibes. Responsible for coordinating and implementing of The School Final. An outstanding platform.
I have developed the Winter-time Challenge for Spieren voor Spieren, in association with the (then existing) firm Sportstrategie. During the hour the clocks are turned backward in October, a run for children with a muscular disease or disorder. Proud of this splendid initiative that completely stands on its own feet now.
EiffelTowers Den Bosch
Responsible for basketball club Eiffeltowers’ emotionally charged move from Nijmegen to Den Bosch. Final responsibility for two years with just as many championships.
For 7 years now, we have organised the Dutch version of the Danone Nations Cup for Danone Nederland, under authority of SportVibes. A CSR activity in cooperation with the Krajicek Foundation, leading to annual World Championships. “Believe in your dreams…” is really coming true!
In addition to this, consulting companies, such as Pioneer, BFI, Opel, and others, and advisory or interim positions with FC Groningen, FC Haarlem, Feijenoord, the KNVB, and others.
Concept creation and development of the platform ‘Gillette Scout van Oranje’. With the goal of rejuvenate the image of Gillette. During this project we’ve had a great collaboration with Ronald Koeman, National Coach of The Netherlands at that time, and his agent Wasserman.
We’ve also consulted companies like Pioneer, BFI, Opel, and filled interim roles at several football companies and government organizations like FC Groningen, Feijenoord, KNVB, ‘Gemeente Den Haag’ and ‘Provincie Gelderland’.
